It’s safe to say that winter is officially here — welcome back static cling, goosebumps and dry skin! Even though the winter means the holidays are here and I can finally pull those sexy boots back out of the closet, these brisk days definitely make me miss the summer. Here are some of my winter must-haves to make the countdown to spring a little easier:
• Make sure you have drawers full of warm, comfy pants. After spending the day in a cute-but-still-cold winter outfit, coming home and changing into comfy pants is a must.
• Stock your cabinets with hot drinks. Drinking hot chocolate or hot tea before bed on a cold night is the perfect way to wind down.
• Lotion, lotion and more lotion. Dry, itchy skin is the worst — it’s practically lethal in the winter.
• If this winter is going to be anything like last year’s, make sure you have shovels, salt and sleds. There’s nothing worse than being unprepared for an unexpected snow day. If you can find someone strong to help with all the shoveling, even better!
What are some ways you get through these cold winter days?
Electric blankets, and hot savory foods- stews, soups, chilis are a must for me and my crew.
Canadian winters can be brutal! My must haves are fleece Jammie’s, comfy booty slippers, tea and coconut oil for lips, skin and hair! Lucky for you jenny you have that pretty handsome marshmallow to keep you warm! ???❄️⛄️
I love my electric blanket and either hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps or chi tea. A nice warm pair of socks will do as well. 🙂
I would go sledding and drink hot chocolate and eat chili and soup with snow angels mixed in.

Fuzzy socks
Fleece blankets
And comfy hoodies
Are my go to winter coozies!
Our winters in St. Louis, MO can be rough! I like to snuggle up with my honey and watch a good movie or two! Drink some mulled wine and just relax!
And ladies, I know that lots of girls say, “Yay, winter! I don’t have to shave.” But if your skin is dry to the point that you are snagging your legs on the bedsheets, then for heavens sake, shave them!! Shaving will help to exfoliate the dead skin. Many of the ladies shave creams have wonderful moisturizing formulations. If you use a good moisturizer when you finish, then you will have great soft and smooth skin. And your hunny bunny will soooo appreciate it! No man wants to feel like he is snuggling up with a lumberjack. (Well, maybe the ones that really like that type. Let’s just go with, most of the civilized world, ok?)
Hugs to ya Jenny! Xo

That exactly what I do but, with organic food grade oils. Yes yes yes, the wonderful smells of lavender and others are a huge lift mentally or for relaxation. Just try some peppermint oil for a zesty lift and wake up. It keeps you wanting to smell it and you awaken more quickly I think. Sort of like coffee, it keeps you wiffing up the awesome smell of hot Java. The wonderful aroma of oils can also be used to rub it on drier winter skin…Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!! …lol. My aching muscles loooove it and I’m sure yours will to Jenny. ;)))
Btw, can’t sleep well? Try rubbing some organic lavender oil mixed in your favorite moisturizer onto your skin and you’ll sleep like a babe.
If not, try some sleepy time tea w/ a drop,or two of lavender oil….zzzzzzzzzzz you’ll be dreaming happily in LALALand .
Good sleep will bring you giggles, wiggles and big grins to carry you through the day.
Have a great winter smelling and feeling marvy darling!!!
Well since I live in Southern California when it dips below 70 my must haves are hoodies, leg warmers, comfy socks, fuzzy gloves , long scarves and super cute ear muffs and beanies!!!!!!
I so miss the mostly warm California days and nights I had growing up there in Santa Rosa up near the Redwoods, Bodega Bay seashore, Napa Valley, beautiful country up there! I hear it is in Southern Cali as well. I’ve seen so many photographs of it. Maybe one day I’ll get there.
But, I’ve lived in icy cold, frigid, windy, snowy, rainy and super humid Nebraska for to long now!!! I want to move back to Cali so bad!!! It literally gets be,ow zero degrees here and well below 40 most days in winter. UGH! So, below 70 sounds tropical to me now… 😉
I’d probably be warm at 50 degrees now since I’m so use to bitter cold..Arctic polar bears could live here. ..lol.
I mix up my own batch of organic coconut skin care and smother my skin in it. I sleep a bit more. I also like to pump up my system with an exercising moment. It gets the blood moving around more and you won’t feel so cold. My feet literally don’t warm up sometimes so this works well for that..ha!

So, I drink more water because we tend to dry out and not get enough fluids. Try drinking more water. And don’t eat more sugar because it’ll just lower your energy when the crash hits from the sugar high.
Also, I like to laugh more because the dreary weather is so so , wellllll, flat out dreary, UGH. So, I watch more comedies and happier , upbeat movies/tv sitcoms .
Plus, go out to eat and to the movies more. It makes you feel more alive and excited about life during the winter blues.
I also try to to stay away from sweets befor bed cause then I can’t sleep well. Sleeping well is vital for your body to heal itself from stresses a mad strains of the day.
Love yeah Jennyyyyy!!!!
Keep up the great sharing and inspiring us! You are always so sweet & REAL! This world needs more of that in it.
Peace out chickadee,
Ancilee …aka AnciPanci
