For this month’s Featured Book of the Month I decided to pick one of my favorite and most inspirational books, Louder Than Words. If you’re interested in our journey and want to learn more about autism, I’d love for you to read this book!
One morning Jenny McCarthy was having a cup of coffee when she sensed something was wrong. She ran into her two-year-old son Evan?s room and found him having a seizure. Doctor after doctor misdiagnosed Evan until?after many harrowing, life-threatening episodes?one good doctor discovered that Evan is autistic.
With a foreword from Dr. David Feinberg, medical director of the Resnick Neuro-psychiatric Hospital at UCLA, and an introduction by Jerry J. Kartzinel, a top pediatric autism specialist, Louder Than Wordsfollows Jenny as she discovered an intense combination of behavioral therapy, diet, and supplements that became the key to saving Evan from autism. Her story sheds much-needed light on autism through her own heartbreak, struggle, and ultimately hopeful example of how a parent can shape a child?s life and happiness.
Good luck, everyone! I’ll pick the winner next week!
You are such an inspiration. I love everything about you. I saw DSF in Shelton Wa last year. Your Donnie loves Jenny show, is the best show on television. From start to finish I cannot get the smile off my face. Your love is intoxicating. I want to see, read, do….anything that involves you. You make the world a better, happier place. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Thank you for sharing your world with us…very inspirational!
Hi Jenny! I have been thinking about you since I watched all 9 videos “The Truth about Cancer.” I will tell you why in a moment..Please watch them if you have not because they talk about vaccines as well and are coming out with a new series soon called the Truth about Vaccines and how some of them really are unsafe at this time, maybe all of them? I have not watched it yet… In this cancer series, they talk about so many natural cures- eating nutritious foods, going organic, supplements, herbs, essential oils and detoxing our body from harmful chemicals in our food to boost our immune systems. Also what will kill off cancer cells. Good doctors and scientists have actually proven cures in this way. Also how to heal from vaccines. Chemical toxins are within vaccines that make them unsafe. Babies and kids with weaker immune systems are the ones who might suffer. It is so upsetting that these good doctors and scientists who can cure cancer are going to court because of the big Pharma and AMA to fight to keep their medical licenses. Many are being harassed and their clinics being ruined, all for the sake of money… And here you are as well with the rest of these strong people who stood up for the truth. (I know you are not anti, but pro safe, as I am) I remember how bad you were treated in the media and what not, and how everything was twisted… it just reminded me of you and the hell you went through at that time. You know what, you were right anyway! I applaud you for standing to your beliefs and how much it has helped so many people. And you don’t give a s$#@% what anyone thinks about it…I hope you do not. I just have been wanting to say this to you and now I have the appropriate moment to do so. And BTW my husband loves Donny! LOL, I tease him all the time when Blue Bloods comes on..we both watch your shows..all our best to you both! Keep up the good work!
Your sharing this journey really seems to come from your heart! I’m so glad to be able to learn life lessons from your book. You truly want to help others and we can see this through your work! Thanks for being such a great light for our path! Also I’m so happy you and Donny found each other. You both are awesome!

You are an inspiration to many and I have been sharing what I do know about you journey with many of my friends who autisic children. My son will be 22 this month and was misdiagnosed as a child. We tried many medications for “ADHD”, only to end up with many side effects. We finally decided to stop, when he stopped eating and drinking for a couple days on one. We now know that my son has Aspergers. He is extremely smart but jas lots of other issues. He is amazing and I will say that once he was about 16-17 he was finally able to share with me how his mind works! It jas been am incredible journey. My only wish is that he had been properly diagnosed so I could have done more when he was young. He is one of my amazing gifts and I am always in awe of the things he knows and learns about! Keep up the good work Jenny! We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to autism! Thank you!
Just started our autism journey. So lost and looking for inspiration.
I would absolutely love this as I have been looking for more ways to understand.. Thank you for everything you do and being such a strong advocate 😉
Hello, good Sunday to you! I just wanted to ask what treatment or regimen was used towards your son Diezel and his autism cure. I have two boys 3 and 4 yrs old, both autistic and would love to help them, if not cure to at least light a shine to better themselves. My youngest is more severe and non verbal and I feel he is trapped in his world and mind. His eyes say a thousand words and ask for help from me. I just want to help them and give them a chance to be free from autism. Thank you.
